All You Need To Know About The Coronavirus. As the outbreak of this Coronavirus happened, it has caused a lot of fear in many people as they are even afraid of this disease more than the — Ebola virus.

As the world prepared to usher in a new year and decade on December 31, 2019, authorities in China alerted the World Health Organisation (WHO) on the usual high cases of pneumonia in the city of Wuhan.

From January 7 2020, it was confirmed that a new coronavirus that is now called 2019-nCoV had spread from animals to humans.

Almost 80 people had died from the 2,744 cases reported from China as of Monday, January 27 2020. In other parts of the World like Asia, Europe and the United States, there are cases confirmed by the WHO that is yet to be declared to the global health emergency.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) is now working with the authorities in China to fill the information gaps, and contain the outbreak.

According to Tedros Adhanom, the WHO’s Director-General, he said, “We don’t know the source of this virus, we don’t understand how easily it spreads and we don’t fully understand its clinical features or severity. The World Health Organisation (WHO) is working towards the Coronavirus with our partners… to fill the gaps in our knowledge as quickly as possible.”

The Origin Of Coronavirus.

This Coronaviruses are a family of viruses that normally circulate in animals, and some of them have the capacity to transmit between humans and animals.

There was previous global outbreaks of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus (SARS), that has killed over hundreds of people.

The codename 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) is believed to have originated from a seafood market in Wuhan. According to experts, it is believed that this could have transmitted from Snakes, and SARS and MERS were transmitted from Civet cats and camels respectively.

The Symptoms.

The coronaviruses causes respiratory symptoms such like; cold, short breath, fever and pneumonia while other symptoms include a runny nose, cough, a sore throat and some headache.
